1920

At age 18, Walt created his first cartoons as a commercial artist. Like many creators today, he started with a dream and story to tell.

1937

Walt debuted his studio’s first animated feature film: Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. Critics doubted him…but it became the highest earning film in history.

1940

The Walt Disney Studios opens in Burbank, which remains its company’s headquarters to this day — and you’ll see at Created in LA.

1991

The Walt Disney Company remodeled the El Capitan Theatre to premiere the studio’s biggest films. At Created in LA, it’ll be the first time we premiere videos from creators, too.

2026

Created in LA brings the next generation of creators to the studio that Walt built.

Meet Your Host

One of the few to work at both YouTube and Instagram, Jon Youshaei spent 8 years on the inside before becoming a full-time creator — now with over 1 million followers across socials.

He’s been featured in Forbes, Time, and TED — and dubbed the “Oprah of YouTube” for his interviews and behind-the-scenes videos with MrBeast, Mark Rober, and Kevin Hart.

Gary Vaynerchuk calls Jon “a creative force who every creator, marketer, and executive can learn from.”

As the creator behind Created in LA, Jon will host the event from the red-carpet kickoff to the closing reception.
